Westfield has existed as a community school for a long time and can trace its roots way back to when it was the Harpur Central school (now the Harpur shopping centre in Bedford).

We pride ourselves in our ability to forge forward into the future, but acknowledge and respect our links with the past. At Westfield, people - especially our pupils - have priority.

Our driving force is 'Achievement for All!'

Our curriculum is rigorous, but fun. Our ethos is caring, but demanding. Our aim is to be totally inclusive and international, with educational standards second to none.

We strive hard to achieve this on behalf of your child and your family. We know that, 'Every Child Matters', and we are outstanding in this area of work. However, having celebrated our continued success, we've already embarked on the next part of our journey into the future. We're hoping that you'll join us.

We have offered extended services for a while now and work with many partner agencies on and off site. Westfield's vision is to work positively with all to create a vibrant, successful future for your child. Whilst our key national awards indicate our ability to compete (Healthy Schools and Quality Mark for Basic Skills) we continue to offer more and more.

The adults and young people who work alongside us come from many walks of life locally, nationally and internationally.

Westfield reaches out to the world and the world comes to Westfield.
