THE VALUES OFTHE SCHOOL:
-
We believe in the intrinsic value of every child and adult within the school community
-
We accept that all our members are of equal worth and should receive equal opportunities regardless of their ability, gender, beliefs or ethnic origins
-
We seek to support the academically weak and to motivate the underachiever and to stimulate the able child through appropriate programmes of work and methods of teaching
-
We wish to cultivate a love of learning in children which will continue for the rest of their lives through curricular and extra-curricular activities
-
We wish to balance our rewards and punishments and to encourage children to develop a sense of responsibility for themselves and others as well as for their environment
-
We wish to encourage children to empathise with others in a happy, positive atmosphere where children and adults mutually respect each other and find satisfaction in working together so that all make their way successfully in the world
-
We recognise the importance of the wider community which includes our parents & carers, governors, and local, national and international communities
-
We welcome the Every Child Matters agenda - that each of our pupils stays safe, is healthy, makes a positive contribution, enjoys and achieves and learns how to become economically viable
