Our History

Westfield has served the community for 60 years. It has served as a secondary, middle and now as a primary school.

At Westfield Primary, our history is rooted in a strong commitment to helping every child learn, grow, and feel part of a caring school community. From our earliest days, we have focused on building an environment where children are supported to develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.

Over time, our school values have guided how we work with families and pupils. We place friendship and respect at the heart of daily school life, encouraging children to treat others kindly, listen carefully, and take responsibility for their actions. These values help create a calm, welcoming atmosphere where pupils feel safe to try new things and learn from mistakes.

Our journey has also been shaped by inspiration, excellence, equality, courage and determination. We celebrate the achievements of our pupils and staff, and we continually look for ways to improve opportunities for learning. By working together with parents and carers, we aim to inspire children to set goals, persevere, and develop the skills they need for life beyond primary school.
